White Island (Medano Island)

Mambajao, Camiguin, Northern Mindanao

A pristine sandbar that appears and disappears with the tide off Camiguin's north coast, fringed by nothing but the open Bohol Sea and the island's volcano silhouette behind. No permanent structure exists on the bar β€” just a landing point for bancas and, if you time it right, absolute solitude on a sliver of white sand surrounded entirely by blue water. At low tide the bar extends nearly 500 meters; at high tide it shrinks to a bright spine.
