Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Masjid

The largest mosque in Southeast Asia, built with funds from the Sultanate of Brunei on the banks of the Tamontaka River in Cotabato City. Its white domes and minarets rising above the river bend have earned it the nickname the Taj Mahal of Mindanao, and from the far bank at dusk the comparison is not unreasonable. The mosque is open to non-Muslim visitors outside prayer times; the main hall can accommodate 15,000 worshippers simultaneously in a space of complete, intentional calm.
