Sohoton Cove Stingless Jellyfish Lagoon
Socorro (Bucas Grande), Surigao del Norte, CARAGA
A series of hidden lagoons inside the karst sea cave system of Bucas Grande island, accessible only at certain tides through cave passages navigated by banca. The innermost lagoon holds a colony of stingless jellyfish that pulse through the water in their thousands, entirely harmless, a floating world of translucent pink and gold. The cave chambers themselves β with light filtering through ceiling cracks onto crystal water β make the journey worthwhile before the jellyfish even appear.
