Sipit River Cave

Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Peninsula

A cave carved through a limestone bluff by the Sipit River, creating a natural tunnel navigable by small boat for about 200 meters. Inside, the river glows an eerie blue-green where light penetrates the cave mouth, and enormous stalactites hang close enough to touch from a paddled raft. The surrounding forest park is home to a colony of fruit bats that stream out at dusk in a dark ribbon visible from the riverbank.
