Paliton Beach
A crescent of fine white sand bookended by dramatic limestone outcrops on Siquijor's north coast, Paliton is the kind of beach that travel writers call "unspoiled" and mean it. The water shifts from clear green in the shallows to deep cobalt just past the reef edge, and coconut palms lean at angles that seem composed for the camera. Sunset here, with Cebu's mountains silhouetted across the strait and the mystical island's folklore all around, is one of the Visayas' most atmospheric closings to a day.
