A protected marine sanctuary at the northeastern tip of Luzon where old-growth forest meets coral-fringed coves of staggering clarity. Jungle trails lead to the 19th-century Cape Engaño Lighthouse with views across the open Pacific. Below the surface, some of the most intact reef in Cagayan—sea turtles and giant trevally move through the blue as if undisturbed for centuries.
