Mount Pinatubo Crater Trek

The volcano that produced the second-largest eruption of the 20th century in 1991 now harbors a milky-turquoise crater lake at its summit—one of the most surreal landscapes in Southeast Asia. The four-hour trek crosses lahar fields, river canyons, and volcanic moonscape before the trail crests a ridge and the lake appears, perfectly still in the caldera below.
