Maragusan Valley

A remote highland valley in Davao de Oro where the Manurigao River drops through rapids and gorges through primary forest home to the Mandaya and Manobo peoples. Whitewater kayaking and river trekking are the primary draws; the valley is also the gateway to interior waterfalls that take a full day to reach through forest that has seen very little organized tourism. Genuinely undeveloped, which is both its challenge and its appeal.
