Maginhawa Street
Quezon City, NCR
A residential street in Teacher's Village that evolved into Metro Manila's most eclectic food and café destination through a cluster effect of independent operators who found cheap rent in converted houses. The range runs from ramen shops and craft beer bars to Filipino fusion kitchens and specialty dessert cafés, most occupying converted bungalows with garden seating. It is the street that convinced the rest of Metro Manila that interesting food doesn't require a mall or a franchise.
