Lake Holon

T'boli, South Cotabato, SOCCSKSARGEN

A pristine crater lake at 1,874 meters on the slopes of Mt. Parker (Melibengoy), accessible by a full-day trek through T'boli ancestral forest. The lake's deep blue water sits in a caldron of volcanic rock surrounded by mossy old-growth trees, and the silence at the crater rim — broken only by wind and hornbills — is among the more profound experiences available in Mindanao. The trek is managed by the local tribe; a guide is required, and the guides are excellent.
