Katibawasan Falls

Catarman, Camiguin, Northern Mindanao

A single clean drop of 70 meters from a volcanic basalt cliff into a cold pool surrounded by a natural amphitheater of bamboo and rainforest in Camiguin's interior. The mist reaches 30 meters from the base, and the park has the feel of a well-kept botanical garden — orchids grow on the cliff face and tree ferns crowd the path to the pool. Late afternoon is best, when direct sunlight hits the falls and the mist catches the light in a permanent arc.
