Dahilayan Forest Park

Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao

At 1,600 meters in the Bukidnon highlands, Dahilayan is the nearest thing to a mountain resort in northern Mindanao — pine forests, a zipline among the longest in Asia, horseback trails, and night temperatures that drop to 12°C. The scenery from the cliff edge takes in the full highland plateau: patchwork farmland, river valleys, and on very clear days the distant glitter of Macajalar Bay. Two hours from CDO, it feels like a different climate zone entirely.
