Cape Engaño Lighthouse

The northeasternmost point of Luzon is marked by this solitary 1892 Spanish-era lighthouse standing on a rocky headland where Pacific and South China Sea currents visibly converge. Getting here requires a boat from Sta. Ana and a steep jungle hike through Palaui Island's old-growth forest. The remoteness is the entire point: it rewards only those who come.
