Biliran Island Waterfalls
Naval, Biliran, Eastern Visayas
A small, steep island province connected to Leyte by a short bridge, Biliran is essentially a cluster of volcanic peaks wearing a coat of dense rainforest down to a fringe of fishing villages. Waterfalls are its currency: Tomalistis, Ulan-Ulan, and Recare falls are all within day-hike distance from Naval town. The Caraycaray River gorge, with its natural rock pools and cold mountain water, is the locals' own version of a resort β and it's almost always empty.
