Anilao Marine Reserve

Mabini, Batangas

The dive that launched Philippine recreational diving in the 1950s has never stopped producing record hauls of rare marine life. The Verde Island Passage through Anilao's reefs has been called the Amazon of the Seas—the highest concentration of marine biodiversity on Earth. Over 40 dive sites within a short boat ride from shore; nudibranch and pygmy seahorse counts here are world-famous.
