Angono-Binangonan Petroglyphs

Angono, Rizal

Carved into a limestone rockface around 3,000 years ago, these 127 figures are the oldest known works of art in the Philippines—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The engravings depict humanoid and animal forms in a style that remains partially uninterpreted. A national museum pavilion protects the site. It receives a fraction of the visitors it deserves.
