Anawangin Cove

San Antonio, Zambales

A crescent of pale volcanic sand backed by a freshwater lagoon ringed with agoho pine trees—a landscape that feels more like Scandinavia than the Philippines. The cove is reachable only by bangka from Pundaquit and no permanent structures are permitted inside. Camping under the pines with the West Philippine Sea on one side and the lagoon on the other is one of the finest overnights in Central Luzon.
