Allah Valley

A broad highland valley watered by the Allah River in Sultan Kudarat, one of the most fertile agricultural corridors in Mindanao. Pineapple, coffee, and cut flowers grow in the cooler elevations; the valley floor is paddy rice and the walls are dramatic limestone cliffs. The valley's early morning light — golden across the agricultural patchwork with river mist still in the hollows — is what photographers come for, and the surrounding forest holds trails into untouristed highland country.
